Ever. Despite the still-freezing-weather, I chose to have my summer tires mounted this past Friday. Fortunately when I bought the car, they were immediately removed (with only 5 miles) and put in storage. Now, they’re back on the car. Brand new tires for $0. Win. And because of my ridiculous paranoia, I made sure to look over my car before I took it in. I even took a quick photo of each wheel, since those [...]

Going back to my previous post for a few minutes, I’ve been looking at a lot of different specs and stats on each of the cars. I’ve actually now started getting beyond manufacturer specs and looking at relevant details that might become important to me along the way. The first thing I added to my spreadsheet was the current SCCA Solo (autox) class each car would be in. Currently I’m in ST with my tC [...]

[...]

Debt & Credit
It seems this month was not as good as past months. My decrease in debt is a bit less than previous months but I think that I know why. Since last month involved paying off my Best Buy card and this month involved not as much money, I stuck to paying minimum payments. I also wasn’t sure yet what I was doing with my goalsharing or taxes. Of course at this point, the extra money [...]

It’s about that time of year again… tire shopping season is approaching. I’ve narrowed down to three choices at this point. Last year’s choice… the Falken Azenis RT-615 – which is kind of the “tried and true” autocross tire. Used by many, loved by all. It’s a fantastic budget option. A new comer and competitor to the 615, the Kumho Ecsta XS is also now a choice. It’s apparently a brand new tire but apparently [...]
