B- for Effort: Scion tC RS 6.0
Look… Scion… we need to have a talk. From all of us in the Scion community to you in the Corporate offices – STOP WITH THE SILLY RSs ALREADY. Just replace the damn tC. Or at least announce the damn replacement. You’ll have a lot more happy customers than you will just dragging this out year after year. It’s nice that you still want to throw a few things our way – but this is just… sad. Let’s take a quick look at what you have here. Speedway Blue Paint (cool, but too little too late) Flat Black Side Decals …
A Dilemma, with Cars
My tC will be 5 years old in just a few months… seems like a long time. Certainly the longest period I’ve ever kept the same car – but that’s not incredibly hard considering everything else was practically a POS. So here is my quandary… I’ve modded the crap out of the one I have – at least to my liking. I will continue to do autox this year (and maybe into next year) and would like to be able to improve. I’d still like to redo my suspension again with some nice coilovers (with some ridiculously stiffer springs). BUT… …
That's a Hell of a Deal!
Jen’s parents took us out to dinner last night for her birthday (yes, it was yesterday). We had a nice dinner at the Olive Garden (I was STUFFED). Afterwards Jen and I decided to go over to Toys R Us… because, let’s face it, toys are awesome. I ended up finding a couple more tC diecasts. One of them was a small-ish Jada DubCity tC, in black. Not even riced up! Was a nice find. Another was a Hot Wheels tC that was also a bit larger than your average Hot Wheels/Matchbox – I actually already have one of these …
MOAR TOYS!
For those of you that don’t know… I love my car. OK, so maybe it is actually more of a fetish… but I enjoy most things associated with my car. Sometimes that also includes TOYS! Packed in a box somewhere, I have a decent collection of tC diecasts and such that I could find. Mostly 1/24th scale stuff. One special one directly from Toyota as a “we’re sorry” gift (sunroof service bulletin). I also have a couple 1/64th scale Jada Toys cars. My brother even got me a DropStars tC for Christmas a couple years ago. Well today I stumbled …
Insurance Sucks
Either I need to find another insurance carrier or another car. My insurance has gone up… again. “Thank you for being a Progressive customer since 2004.” Now don’t mind while we raise your rates again. Thing is that I don’t think it is necessarily Progressive’s fault (I’m looking into it though, more on that in a second). I think a lot of it has to do with my car… which makes me sad. There was some study recently that included the tC as one of the cars “more likely to be involved in a road violation.” Great. Though many of …
