So many people make a big deal about the new year thing... I'm really not sure why. I mean, ya, a lot of people want to get that whole "fresh start" thing and do something different. Sure, that's one thing. But I guess I've just never been that kind of person.
The new year for me in reality is very much like last year. And the year before that. And the year before that. My goals are often the same. Pay off bills. Work toward buying a house. Keep my job. Etc, etc. Of course there are some other random things thrown in there each year that would be nice to accomplish or have - but nothing that really changes much of my outlook on the year or even my actions in the year to come for that matter.
Things just stay relatively the same. That's the way I like it.
So no big "resolutions" for me to make and fail to keep. No incredible, life-altering plans. No big game changing plays. Just business as usual. One day at a time.
OK, maybe a couple curve balls thrown in here and there to keep things interesting... but not too many. Don't want to scare the neighbors.
