Root Your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II with a Mac, Easily
So I’ve come to a situation with my phone (to be explained later) that has all but required me to root it. Well, basically it HAS required me to root it because I have yet to find an actual solution that doesn’t involve rooting. Anyway… I’ve been reading root info and stuff for the last few weeks and all I can say is that the way these people write these things, it doesn’t seem as easy as they make it out to be. I have yet to find clear, explicit instructions for someone like me who knows very little about …
I Have a New Phone
I wouldn’t say that I was “disappointed” with the iPhone 4S. Any rational thought would have said there was basically zero REAL evidence of the iPhone 5 being announced that day – as all of the tech blogs were eager to point out the morning of the announcement. You know… just days after they continued to run story after story of iPhone 5 rumors. Derp. Anyway… the one thing to manage in these situations is your expectations. I didn’t expect my dream phone to be announced. I expected them to update the iPhone 4. Now what I had HOPED for …
Statistics Tell a Sad Story
Let’s look at a couple Penn State statistics/rankings (as of 9/19/11, source): Passing Offense: 12th out of 12 in the BigTen. Passing Efficiency: 12th out of 12 in the BigTen Rushing Offense: 10th out of 12 in the BigTen Scoring Offense: 12th out of 12 in the BigTen Total Offense: 12th out of 12 in the BigTen This… is a problem. It also makes me very sad. This quarterback “problem” is becoming a team “problem” very quickly. I don’t know how anyone can expect things to improve until someone actually chooses a QB and sticks with him. Most people (me included) …
That Thing to Not Forget
I wasn’t going to bother saying anything… but I at least wanted to share a photo. This is from Corning Credit Union. Apparently their 9/11 tribute involves making one of their buildings a flag. It actually turned out pretty cool.
Seriously Indonesia, Knock it Off
We get it… you don’t want to play foursquare like everyone else. But STOP HARASSING LEGITIMATE USERS FOR BADGES. I have a Fitbit. It’s awesome. Part of the reason I got it (well, really, just the final deciding factor that pushed me over the edge) is that it will link with my foursquare account and potentially earn badges. Today I earned my 20K Step Day badge (after a LONG day at the Vintage Grand Prix followed by a 3 mile run at the gym). And just in the last couple hours I’ve been asked TWICE by 2 different Indonesians on …
