2005 Scion tC

My first truly “new” car was a Silver Streak Mica, 2005 Scion tC that I bought way back in April of 2005. As of this writing, I’ve actually owned it for well over 5 years now – which makes it the longest that I’ve ever owned a car. And at just over 84,000 miles today, also the longest I’ve ever driven one car.

It has been quite good to me. Very few actual “issues” for it. Only two warranty claims that I can recall (a rear window seal that was replaced and a small hose that was part of the evap system). The engine still seems to be rock solid and thankfully the transmission has been very good to me as well.

Did I mention that I race it? Well, I race in the SCCA’s Solo program anyway. I guess I’ve put quite a bit of money into it as well… at least a lot for me. Sadly though, many of the parts are now long gone as the car is prepped for trade and returned to (mostly) stock.
