Jen and I were out today to get some food and I bought a movie at Best Buy using my Reward Zone certificates (got Zombieland on BluRay, btw). We grabbed some lunch at Chili's afterwards... but I didn't really want to go home yet. After being out of town and running around for the last week, it seems quite lame still to sit around at home all day. I'm not used to that.

So after a big fat jalapeno burger, I decided to go to Toys R Us... I usually like to look at the toy cars and stuff. See if I can find some Scion things once in a while. I know, it's lame... but I have a bit of a collection and still like to pick them up once in a while if I find them.

No luck on the Scion toys though. Also didn't really find any Wii games I'd want. We really just wandered around. Somehow ended up in the game console aisle - you know, where they're all behind glass like precious gems? I saw they had the 360 there... but 3 versions for some reason. There was an Elite... another Elite... and an Arcade. If you bought the Arcade you got a free second controller with it. Not a bad deal. The second Elite though, was a game bundle. Two free games: Forza Motorsport 3 and Halo 3 ODST. For those of you at home, that's $100 in free games (literally - I found the games in the other aisle to compare). And the price was the same as the regular Elite console ($300).

I debated for a bit and finally gave in... the $100 in free games sort of sold me - but it was more of which games were included. If I were to ever buy an Xbox 360, it would be for Forza. Especially considering that Gran Turismo 5 is going to take FOREVER still.

A bit of an impulse buy... but now I have one of everything. At the moment the Wii probably gets used the least - but that is nothing to do with its quality - I still like the system. It's more to do with time. The PS3 gets used for Netflix and an occasional game. The 360 will be used for a bit while I get used to it. The poor Wii will probably be neglected for a little bit.

Oh well... time to get back to racing!

BTW... if you want to pick up the same bundle (Elite w/ Forza 3 and Halo 3 ODST), Amazon also has it for $300. Kickass bundle if you ask me.
