I bought a pair of running shoes yesterday (some nice Pumas... I like them). Irrelevant of my like or dislike of the shoes... the idea as it was intended was dumb on my part.

I bought them with the intention of running.', 'I know, I know. What the hell was I thinking? Frankly, I couldn't tell you. I mean, I could, but it doesn't make much sense. I wanted to get into better shape. Yes, me. Have you seen me lately? I'm 175 lbs of nothing much. I'm up to a size 36 waist! And I don't even know why!! You'd never know by looking at me.

Anyway... I'm not in awful shape by any means and many people envy me for my metabolism (it's ridiculous, srsly). I actually gained 5 lbs in the first 3 days of using the Wii Fit (for reals). But a little toning would help the situation. I suppose that's the point of the running and the Wii Fit.

But I digress. The running was dumb b/c now I hurt and I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow. I went for just under 2 miles total but alternated walking/running on the way back. So I guess I probably ran about 1.5 miles and walked a half mile. At the very most, I might try to run every other day and do the Wii Fit on the other days.

Hopefully I can tighten up and get some actual muscle tone. And in the process, hopefully my pants will actually fit better.
