So far so good with autocross this season. Two events down and plenty to go. I've won both events so far and things are looking good for the season. I was first of 5 cars in the first event and first of 3 in the second, rainy event. I've also been trying to get out and about to see some real racing this year. It'll do me some good and be a hell of a lot of fun.', 'The next autox event is this coming Sunday (Father's Day) at the Arnot Mall. Should be a good one as long as I can get some grip and torque on the short course we always end up having there. Hopefully I'll have the same result as the first two... depending on the competition.
In other auto-related news, I was lucky enough to go to Watkins Glen this past weekend for some of the events. First was the Rolex Grand-Am race (Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen) on Saturday. My brother went with me on that day and we had a decent time... but OMG, the heat. The sun. Sick. We did have the hospitality package though - so for $25 we got a buffet with unlimited beverages and a tent to hang out in. Not bad. I was also able to get some pics and made a video.
Sunday wasn't as awful in the heat/weather department... but still warm. Didn't go with my brother though. Intended to meet up with a few friends from autox and met up with nearly half of the region, which was cool. We stayed long enough to see the two SPEED World Challenge races and left before the NASCAR people started filing in. And like before, I was able to get some pics and videos of the TC race and GT race.
Good times were had by all...
